WALBRIDGE, OH : Walbridge woman killed in crash on Tuesday, September 5, 2017

A woman is dead after crashing her sport utility vehicle Tuesday in Lake Township.

Jane Bennett, 43, of Walbridge was driving east on State Rt. 795 near East Broadway Street about 11 a.m. when she went into the median, the Ohio Highway Patrol said.

Mrs. Bennett overcorrected as she crossed State Rt. 795. Her vehicle overturned several times off the south side of the road before stopping, troopers said.

Mrs. Bennett wasn’t wearing her seat belt and was thrown from her vehicle. She was pronounced dead at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center.

The crash remains under investigation.
