PITTSBURGH, PA : Man in critical condition after carjacking vehicle, crashing into dumpster truck near West End Bridge on Saturday, 31st October, 2020

A man is in critical condition after police said he carjacked a vehicle and later crashed into a dumpster truck near the West End Circle Saturday morning.
According to police, the suspect -- who was identified as a man in his early 30s -- entered a 7-11 store in Ingram shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday and told the clerk he had a gun and wanted money. The clerk refused to hand over any cash and the man ran out. After leaving the store, the man confronted someone else, fought them and then stole the gold sedan.
Police said the man is believed to have committed two other robberies in Bellevue and Hampton Township before he was driving inbound on West Carson Street and he struck the dumpster truck head-on around 9:20 a.m.
