ASHER, OK : A 51-year-old man was killed morning in a wreck on Friday, November, 17th 2017

A 51-year-old man was killed Friday morning in a wreck along a Pottawatomie County highway, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

About 7:20 a.m., William Von Frankovich, of Byars, was driving a car west on State Highway 39, in Asher. A pickup traveling east on the highway attempted to pass a vehicle and struck the car head-on, troopers said.

Von Frankovich was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries and released, the patrol reported.
