A police officer was injured when his cruiser and another vehicle collided in northern New Jersey.

Montvale police say the crash occurred around 9:10 a.m. Tuesday in the Bergen County community.

The officer was taken to the hospital with undisclosed minor injuries and was released later Tuesday. His name has not been released.

The driver of the other vehicle was not hurt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
