FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA : Man killed in multi-vehicle crash on US-220 in Franklin on Friday, 24h May 2024

Virginia State Police reports a man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Route 220 near Burgess Road in Franklin County on Friday, May 24.

According to VSP, a 2018 Ford F-150, driven by 48-year-old Christopher Jeffery Perry of Apex, North Carolina, was traveling north when his vehicle allegedly crossed the median and struck a 2003 Freightliner tractor-trailer truck head-on traveling south. The vehicle then struck a 2023 Nissan Altima also in the southbound lane.

VSP reports Perry died at the scene. He was reportedly wearing his seatbelt during the time of the crash.
