Two Central Falls residents died from injuries suffered in a car crash Wednesday on Mendon Road, and the driver of the car was arrested on drunken-driving charges.

Marsha Crowley, 59, of Central Falls was killed along with an unidentified 13-year-old boy, also from Central Falls, according to a news release from the Woonsocket police.

The driver of the vehicle, Michael Beaucage, 59, of Central Falls, suffered minor injuries in the crash, the police said. He was charged with two counts of driving to endanger, death resulting; driving under the influence of alcohol; and driving on a suspended license.

Beaucage was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in District Court, Providence.

The single-car crash happened at 4:54 p.m. Wednesday in the area of 715 Mendon Rd.

No other details of the crash were released and the case remains under investigation, the Woonsocket police said.

The 13-year-old was in the seventh grade at Central Falls’ Calcutt Middle School.

School staff members have been in contact with the boy’s family, and counselors were available at the school Thursday, Central Falls Superintendent Victor Capellan told The Journal Thursday morning.
