A 13-year-old Rapid City girl was killed in a one-vehicle wreck Saturday near Hartville, Wyo.

Wyoming Highway Patrol identified the girl as Lilli Nehring.

Rapid City school district spokeswoman Katy Urban said Lilli attended Southwest Middle School and would have started seventh grade on Wednesday. The school will have additional counselors available for the first three days of school, she said.

According to a news release, a 2003 Ford Excursion was traveling north on Wyoming Highway 270 around 4:15 p.m. when the SUV drifted off the right side of the road. The vehicle then struck a delineator and mile marker post, causing the driver to over-correct the SUV. The vehicle then entered southbound right-of-way and rolled several times before coming to a rest on its roof.
