A fatal accident shut down parts of I-95 in Hollywood during the morning commute.

According to Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Indiana Miranda, a man was improperly on the roadway, walking on the center lane of I-95 Northbound between Sheridan Street and Stirling Road, when a vehicle struck him.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.
