Crash that killed dump truck driver shuts down I-485 out for four hours

A truck driver was killed in a crash on I-485 in the outer loop between the Carmel Road overpass and the Johnston Road exit in south Charlotte. Drivers who were behind the dump truck told Eyewitness News that it slowly started going left out of its lane and hit the edge of a concrete barrier head-on. The truck overturned and caught fire shortly after 8 a.m.
