ST. PETERSBURG, PA : Tampa woman killed when her car veers off I-275 in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, 19th October 2016

A 25-year-old Tampa woman was fatally injured late Wednesday night when her car veered off Interstate 275, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Danyella Lee Gieder was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where she was later pronounced dead, FHP said.

The crash took place at about 11:30 p.m. Gieder was driving a 2007 Nissan Altima north on I-275, just south of Gandy Boulevard N. Then the FHP said "for unknown reasons" her car left the roadway, entered the inside should and struck the guardrail. Then the car was sent across the road to the outside shoulder, where it collided with a concrete bridge support.

The driver was not wearing her seatbelt, according to the FHP, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
