Norfolk, VA : 54-year-old man dies in single-vehicle crash in Chesapeake on Monday afternoon, May 23, 2016

A 54-year-old man died Monday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash.

Police said officers responded to the 1700 Block of Long Ridge Road around 5 p.m. The vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree.

Police said it was a single-vehicle crash, and it appears speed was a factor. No other vehicles were involved.

The man died on the scene, police said. The crash is under investigation.
