Kennett, MO : Dunklin County Sheriff’s deputy injured in Kennett crash on Monday afternoon, April 3, 2017
A Dunklin County Sheriff’s Deputy was hurt Monday afternoon when his SUV struck a car before crashing into a traffic light pole.
The crash happened at the intersection of Independence Street and Russell Street at around 5 p.m. No one else was hurt.
According to Officer Chris Hill of the Kennett Police Department, the deputy suffered minor injuries. He was taken by Medic One to Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center for treatment. His name has not been released.
The crash briefly halted traffic on the southbound lanes Independence and all of Russell as crews worked to clear the scene. Traffic is now moving freely.
Police have not yet released the exact cause of the crash.
