HUNTSVILLE, AL : Marshall County teen killed in car wreck on Wednesday, 18th October 2023

A Brindlee Mountain High School student was killed in a car wreck early Wednesday morning, according to the Marshall County Coroner’s Office.

Marshall County Schools Superintendent Cindy Wigley identified the student as Gavin Kade Daniel.

“We are deeply saddened to hear about the death of one of our students, Gavin Kade Daniel, a senior at Brindlee Mountain High School,” Wigley said in a written statement to WAFF. “Gavin was a very respectful student and as a valued member of our BMHS family, the loss is being felt by many. We are currently making arrangements to support his family, friends, basketball team, school staff and community. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all during this incredibly difficult time.”

The coroner’s office said the wreck happened in the area of Warrenton Road and Bennett Drive around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. Coroner Cody Nugent said the 17-year-old died on scene. Troopers from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency are investigating the cause of the crash.
