North Platte , NE : Minivan passenger died after crossed the center line as it crested a hill and rammed into a northbound semitrailer on Wednesday,November 26th 2014

Authorities say a 34-year-old passenger in a minivan has been killed in a head-on collision north of North Platte. The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says the accident was reported just after 11:15 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 83. The office says a southbound minivan crossed the center line as it crested a hill and rammed into a northbound semitrailer. The Sheriff's Office identified the dead woman as Michelle Heisz, of Stapleton. Her mother, 59-year-old Vicky Allen, also of Stapleton, was driving the minivan. Allen was taken to a hospital, as was her 3-year-old granddaughter, who is Heisz's daughter. The Sheriff's Office says injuries to the truck driver didn't appear to be life-threatening.
