Liberty, MS : One dead in a head on collision on Mississippi 568 in Amite County on Monday, November 28, 2016

One person is dead following a head on collision on Mississippi 568 in Amite County.

A car crossed the center line and hit a Ford F-250.

Joseph Whatley, the driver of the Ford F-250, was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Donald Higgins, who was driving a Ford Crown Victoria, was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
