Brandon, MS : Man killed in early Sunday wreck in Brandon, October 12, 2014

Brandon police have identified the victim of a fatal wreck that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police Chief William Thompson tells The Clarion-Ledger Lawrence Baylot, of Hinds County, was driving his Ford Explorer westbound on I-20 near Exit 59 in Brandon when his vehicle left the road and began to flip. He says it came to rest near the I-20 Westbound on-ramp from Highway 80. Brandon police and fire departments were dispatched to the scene at 1:22 a.m., but Baylot was pronounced dead on the scene.
