A 34-year-old Bay area man died early Sunday from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 275 in Tampa. Kyle Gasperone was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital where he later died. According to a Florida Highway Patrol report Gasperone was traveling north in his 1994 Chevrolet just past the Dale Mabry Highway exit ramp when he lost control of his vehicle. The car rotated clockwise, veered off the roadway and struck a barrier. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and came to rest in the center lane of the roadway. The interstate was closed for approximately six hours as troopers collected evidence and conducted their investigation. The official cause of the crash is not yet known.
