Micanopy, FL : One woman injured in rollover crash on U.S. 441 near Paynes Prairie on Tuesday morning, June 23, 2015

An unidentified woman was injured Tuesday morning in a rollover crash on U.S. 441 in Micanopy.

At 6:55 a.m., emergency crews were called to a northbound stretch of the highway, just south of Paynes Prairie, on a report of a single vehicle crash. A Micanopy Fire Department engine responded to the scene and extricated the woman from the vehicle and an Alachua County Fire Rescue ambulance took her to UF Health Shands Hospital, fire officials said.

The woman suffered minor injuries and is expected to recover, said Sgt. Tracy Hisler-Pace, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman.

The woman’s name was not immediately available. She was wearing her seat belt and was cited for careless driving, Hisler-Pace said.
