San Antonio, TX : Driver killed in South Side collision with 18-wheeler on Monday afternoon, February 20, 2017

A driver who died Monday afternoon after police said he drove past a stop sign and collided with an 18-wheeler on the South Side was identified Tuesday.
Kenneth Skelton, 34, was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. by EMS after the collision at Southton and the Loop 410 South access roads.

A San Antonio Police Department crash report was not ready to be released Tuesday, but police at the scene said Skelton sped past a stop sign on the access road as an 18-wheeler was passing through the intersection.
Skelton’s car collided with the 18-wheeler trailer’s left axle.
A female passenger in the vehicle was conscious but was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center as a precaution.
