Wilmington, NC : 63-year-old man dies after hit-and-run crash on Wednesday night, October 19, 2016

A 63-year-old man who was injured in a hit-and-run at the intersection of Market Street and S. Kerr Avenue Wednesday night has died.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers responded to a call of a hit-and-run at 7:13 p.m. The victim, Donald Salter, was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the road.
A broken side-view mirror was found next to Salter. Police say the suspect never stopped following the collision.
Salter was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he died Friday.
Police said the suspect was driving a 2007-2013 Chevrolet or GMC truck or SUV.
