Hannibal, MO : Hannibal woman injured in bicycle accident on Saturday, September 30th 2017

Dr. Amy Joanne Knickerbocker, 45, of Hannibal, was flown by Air Evac to the University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of injuries suffered in a bicycle accident at 10:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, in Pike County, Ill.
The Illinois State Police reported the accident was on eastbound Ill. 106 near old U.S. 36.
Officers said Knickerbocker was riding a Trek bicycle directly behind Kevin L. Knickerbocker, 50, of Hannibal, who was riding a Cannondale bicycle.
The front tire of her bike hit the rear tire of his bike, causing her to lose control of her bike, and she as ejected from the bicycle.
The Illinois State Police and Air Evac personnel were assisted at the scene by the Pike County, Ill., Sheriff’s Department, Pike County, Ill., Ambulance crew and Hull/Kinderhook, Ill., Fire Department.
