A woman has been arrested in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Charlotte.
Police tell local media outlets someone was trying to cross a street at around 10 p.m. in north Charlotte when he was struck and killed. Authorities say the driver didn’t stop.
An hour after the crash, police say 19-year-old Kadalhia Denise Johnson returned to the scene of the crash and was charged with felony hit-and run. It wasn’t known if she had an attorney.
Police say Johnson was wearing a seatbelt, had a green light and that alcohol, drugs and speed were not factors in the crash.
Authorities have not release any details about the victim, other than that he wasn’t in a crosswalk and was crossing against a no crossing light.
