Child Killed After Golf Cart Accident

A 6-year-old boy is dead Wednesday after he is hit and trapped under a golf cart.The accident happened around 4p.m. off of Rt. 222 in Stonelick Township.According to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Department the 6-year-old and a 7-year-old friend were playing.Right now it appears that the 7-year-old was driving the cart and racing the 6-year-old, who was running. As the pair approached a sharp turn the 7-year-old turned the golf cart and hit his friend and the cart stopped on top of him.A medical helicopter was called out to rush the boy back to Cincinnati but the efforts to save his life were not successful.Relatives of the two children were on the property at the time but did not see the accident happen.
