Gettysburg, OH : Driver injured after collision in Darke County on Friday, June 17, 2016

A driver was airlifted to the hospital after two cars collided in the Village of Gettysburg.

It happened at intersection of East Main Street and Clay Street just before 8 p.m. Friday.

According to officials, Ryan Campbell, 17, was driving a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix on East Main Street when he tried to turn left onto Clay Street. Deputies stated Campbell failed to yield to a 1989 Chevrolet pick-up truck, driven by Shaun Idle, 25, which was eastbound on East Main Street.

CareFlight was called to the scene. Idle was flown to Miami Valley Hospital where he was treated and released.

Campbell was cited for failure to yield while turning left.
