Waynesboro,VI: Driver injured in Waynesboro crash on October, Tuesday 31th 2017

A man driving a Honda CRV crashed into an embankment near the intersection of South Wayne Avenue and 12th Street in Waynesboro on Tuesday afternoon.

Initial reports indicated the vehicle crashed into a home, but it appears the slight rise off the road prevented the CRV from reaching the house.

All indications are that the crash was an accident and not an attempt to ram the house, which is what happened last week when police say a man intentionally crashed into his home on South Winchester Avenue, and fled.

The man in Tuesday's crash, whose identity could not be independently confirmed Tuesday night, was transported to Augusta Health. His condition was unknown as of press time.
