Corpus Christi, TX : Woman injured in single-vehicle rollover on SPID near Old Brownsville Road in Corpus Christi on Thursday, March 10, 2016

Police are working to determine the cause of an overnight rollover accident.

The accident happened just before 1 a.m. Thursday on SPID near Old Brownsville Road.

Police at the scene tell us a woman, in her early 20's, was driving down SPID when she veered off the road and hit a barricade. That caused her car to flip over on the access road. When police arrived, they found the woman pinned inside her car.

Rescue crews were able to extract her from the flipped over car and she was taken to Spohn Memorial Hospital. Her injuries were considered to be non-life threatening.

Police will speak with her about what happened. At this time, there is no word on a citation. Police say, the driver may have been intoxicated but this is not confirmed
