Walker County, TX : Man struck by car, killed while walking on Walker County road on Thursday October 22 2015

A Walker County man died early today after he was hit by a car while he was walking down the road.
The Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as Michael Dale Newborn. He was 37.
The crash happened about 2:40 a.m. on Alabama 269, three miles south of Jasper. He was struck by a 2014 Dodge Avenger, which did remain at the accident site, said Trooper Johnathan Appling. Newborn was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation
