FRUITLAND, MO ; Cape Girardeau man seriously injured in motorcycle crash on Saturday, 3rd August 2024

A Cape Girardeau man is seriously injured following a motorcycle crash near Fruitland.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Reports, the crash occurred around 8:16 p.m. on Saturday, August 3. The driver was going southbound on US 61 at Route CC, five miles north of Fruitland.

The crash occurred as the vehicle, a 2001 Harley Davidson, ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting the driver.

The driver was identified as 33-year-old Robert T. Edmonds of Cape Girardeau. Edmonds was taken by ambulance to the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau to be treated for serious injuries.
