Stillwater, OK : Three injured in a collision on Thursday afternoon, February 23, 2017

Two people were sent to Stillwater Medical Center and a third victim was taken to OU Medical Center after a collision that occurred 8 miles west of Perkins on Thursday afternoon.

According to a report from an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper, 72-year-old Barbara Granato of Lubbock, Texas, was driving east on Oklahoma Highway 33 toward the intersection with Karsten Creek Road when, "for an unknown reason," she crossed the centerline and hit two vehicles stopped eastbound at the intersection.

The drivers of those vehicles weren't injured, but Granato was taken to SMC and admitted in stable condition with head, internal chest and leg injuries. After her Ford Explorer struck the other two vehicles, it hit a Nissan Versa that was driving westbound on Highway 33.

The driver of that vehicle, 34-year-old Perales Ruiz Martina of Stillwater, was admitted to SMC in stable condition with head and internal chest injuries. Rosa Estella Chan-Lopez, a 33-year-old passenger from Stillwater, was taken to OU Medical Center and admitted in stable condition with internal chest injuries.

All people were using seatbelts, according to the release.
