Waterloo, IA : 13-year-old girl injured after a hit-and-run crash early Sunday, Oct 25, 2015
A man has turned himself in to police in connection to a hit-and-run in Waterloo that injured a 13-year-old girl.
Waterloo police say 30-year-old Steven Arceneaux Jr. contacted authorities Tuesday and said he may have been the driver in the crash early Sunday. He later turned himself in and was released from custody at the Black Hawk County Jail.
Lyisha Dixon was hit a little before 1 a.m. Sunday while walking with her 16-year-old cousin, who was not struck. The teen was taken to a hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
Arceneaux has been charged with a misdemeanor count of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. Court records do not list an attorney.
