SAN ANTONIO, TX : Driver assesses damage to truck after fatal crash with man at Pecan Valley Drive and Goliad Road on Thursday, 5th November, 2020

San Antonio police are trying to find a driver who hit and killed a 75-year-old man as he crossed a street on the city’s Southeast Side.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. Thursday at Pecan Valley Drive and Goliad Road.

Witnesses told police the man had just left a convenience store in the area and was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk when a dark-colored pickup truck hit him.

Police said the truck failed to yield right-of-way to the man and struck him as he neared the median. The driver pulled into the parking lot of a Speedy Cash and assessed the damage to the vehicle just before fleeing, police said.
