Monett, MO : 2 injured in Butterfield wreck at Hwys. 37 on Monday, November, 27th 2017
Two people were injured Monday in a wreck at 5:40 p.m. on Highway 37 in Butterfield.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Joshua Dowler, 29, of Cassville, was driving a 1997 Honda Accord northbound when his vehicle failed to yield, causing a 2012 Dodge Charger, being driven by Deborah Parmley, 49, of Pierce City, to strike his vehicle in the rear.
A 2014 Dodge Town and Country, being driven by Wilbur Thomas, 91, of Cassville, struck Dowler’s vehicle prior to it coming to rest in the middle of the roadway.
Dowler suffered moderate injuries and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
Parmley suffered minor injuries and was transported to Cox Monett Hospital by a private vehicle. Thomas was not injured.
Parmley and Thomas were wearing safety devices, and it is unknown if Dowler was wearing one.
All three vehicles sustained extensive damage.
