TULSA, OK : Man dies from injuries sustained after getting hit by SUV on December, Tuesday 12th 2017

Christopher Alan Bilby died Thursday as a result of the injuries he sustained after getting hit by a car while he was attempting to cross the intersection of 71st and Union on Dec. 12.
According to police, the SUV that hit Bilby was traveling northbound on Union Avenue and getting ready to enter the intersection on a green light. However, right before the vehicle entered the intersection, Bilby ran out in front of the vehicle which resulted in the collision, police say.
No charges were filed against the driver because there was nothing the driver of the SUV could have done to avoid the man, police say.
Bilby was pronounced brain dead when he arrived at Saint Francis Hospital, according to police, and was put on life support until his passing was announced by the Medical Examiner's Office Thursday morning.
