Annapolis, MD : Two injured in crash on Ritchie Highway on Sunday, 11th September 2016

To people were injured early Sunday morning in a car crash on Ritchie Highway in Arnold, an Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman said.

Units responded to the 900 block of northbound Ritchie Highway for a report of motor vehicle collision around 1:22 a.m., Lt. Erik Kornmeyer said.

When crews arrived, they found one person trapped inside a vehicle. It took responders about 10 minutes to extricate the person.

A 35-year-old man was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with injuries believed to be serious but not life-threatening, Kornmeyer said.
