Aurora, MO : Man injured in wreck on Route K, north of Aurora on Friday, May 13, 2016

An Aurora man was injured Friday in a wreck at 3:20 p.m. on Route K, just north of Aurora.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, James Shipman, 65, of Aurora, was driving a 2004 Jeep Liberty southbound when his vehicle lost control, left the roadway and struck a culvert.

Shipman suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

He was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle suffered extensive damage.
