CIRCLEVILLE, OH : Woman flown to Grant after head-on collision on Thursday, 13th October 2016
Three motorists sustained injuries that caused one to be life flighted to Columbus following a head-on collision Thursday on U.S. 22 just west of U.S. 23.
According to a Pickaway County Sheriff’s release, the crash occurred at around 4:42 p.m. when 55-year old Gregory Walker of Circleville was heading westbound on U.S. 22 in a 1995 Oldsmobile Delta 88. Officials say Walker’s car went left of center, striking a 2007 Mercury Milan driven by 18-year old Austin McNichols of South Bloomingville, who was heading eastbound on 22.
Walker and his right front passenger, 37-year old Amy Frazier, were temporarily trapped in their vehicle before being extricated by first responders. The patients were transported to Berger Health System, where doctors made the decision to fly Frazier to Grant Medical Center by Med Flight for further treatment.
McNichols was transported to Berger by Harrison Township EMS.
The Pickaway County Sheriff’s office continues to investigate the accident.
