Joplin, MO : Toddler injured in driveway accident on Friday, 30th March 2018
A 1-year-old child was injured when he was backed over by a vehicle at 2:05 p.m. Friday in a driveway on Kodiak Road, two miles south of Neosho in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Remington S. McBryde was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin with moderate injuries.
Jason L. McBryde, 30, was backing a vehicle down the driveway when he ran over the boy, the patrol said.
• A Pierce City woman sustained minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 6:50 a.m. Friday on Farm Road 1040 at the intersection with Farm Road 2057, about 3 miles south of Monett in Barry County, the state patrol said.
Lauren R. Balmas, 22, was taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital.
Balmas was driving a southbound car that ran off the road and struck a tree when she swerved to miss a deer in the roadway, the patrol said.
