BAY COUNTY, MI : 71-year-old killed in I-75 crash in Bay County on Sunday, 19th November 2023

A medical emergency may have caused a deadly crash on I-75 in Bay County on Sunday afternoon.

Michigan State Police say a 71-year-old man from Romeo was driving a Ford F-150 south on the freeway near Beaver Road in Kawkawlin Township around 2:30 p.m. when he started passing another pickup truck.

Investigators believe the Romeo man suffered medical emergency behind the wheel, which caused him to lose control. His pickup truck hit a southbound Ford F-250, left the road surface and slammed into a tree along the freeway.
