Springfield, OH : Driver in 2-vehicle Clark County crash on Wednesday, August 30, 2017
The driver of a car that ran a stop sign and was hit by a pickup truck in Pleasant Twp., Clark County, remains in a hospital tonight.
The Ohio Highway Patrol is not releasing that driver's name, gender, age or hometown, Trooper Bailey said, noting the investigation is continuing. According to the preliminary investigation, a Chevy Spark headed west on Old Columbus Road ran the stop sign and was struck by a Dodge Dakota pickup headed north on state Route 54.
Neither drugs, alcohol nor speed is suspected in the accident, the trooper said.
He said the state patrol is waiting for word on the condition of the car's driver, who had to be extricated from the wreckage and taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight.
The driver of the truck was not believed to have been seriously injured.
