Madison, WI : TOWN OF WESTPOINT, WI : Middleton man killed in motorcycle crash on Saturday, 17th September 2016

A Middleton man died in a motorcycle crash involving a collision with a van, according to a news release from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.Deputies were called at 10:06 a.m. Saturday to Highway 113 near County Road V in the town of WestPoint near Okee on a report of a motorcycle vs. van crash.

Investigators said it was reported that the van pulled out in front of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle driver, Steven D. Ebert, 69, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

The van driver and a passenger were not injured.

The crash remains under investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol.

The Lodi Fire Department, Lodi EMS, State Patrol, Lodi Police Department and the Columbia County Medical Examiner’s Office assisted at the scene.
