Boise, ID : 24-year-old Yadira Ibarra-Vargas dead after slamming car into a tree on Ustick Road in Garden City on Tuesday, March 31, 2015

One person is dead following a single car crash in Garden City Tuesday afternoon.

Garden City Police say a woman was driving with four children on Ustick Road near 43rd Street when the car struck a tree in the median.

Officers say the woman was pinned inside the car with extensive injuries and died at the scene.

On Wednesday, the Ada County Coroner's Office identified the woman as 24-year-old Yadira Ibarra-Vargas of Boise. She died of blunt force trauma.

Police say drivers traveling behind the car stopped and helped emergency crews rescue the children, who ranged in age from 7-year-old to an infant, from inside the car.

The children were all take to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say they are thankful for the all of the assistance they received from the public after the crash.

Garden City Police and the Ada County Sheriff's Office are working to determine what caused the crash.
