Ventura ,CA : One person injured after Crash and Vehicle engulfed in flames on Saturday night ,April 25 2015

Crews knocked down a fire early Sunday after a crash left a vehicle in flames that briefly spread to surrounding brush in west Ventura.

The wreck and fire were reported at 11:57 p.m. Saturday at northbound Highway 33 and Stanley Avenue.

The fire occurred after a vehicle hit the guardrail, according to the California Highway Patrol. The agency described the vehicle as “fully engulfed.”

Crews indicated there would be at least one patient as a result of the wreck. The flames were reported knocked down soon after crews arrived.

A passer-by helped the injured driver out of the vehicle. The driver was then taken to a local trauma center.
