JACKSONVILLE, FL : Deadly crash knocks down utility pole in Confederate Point on Thursday, 15th June 2023

One person is dead, and another is in critical condition after their car hit a bus stop bench, which then knocked over a utility pole on Blanding Boulevard, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JFRD crews’ rescue efforts were delayed because they had to wait for JEA to de-energize the power lines that fell on the vehicle, JFRD said.
