WARREN TOWNSHIP, OH : Man dies in weekend crash on Saturday, 10th November 2018

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a Saturday evening crash in Warren Township that killed a Leavittsburg man.

Derrick Beans, 58, of Leavittsburg, was killed in the one-vehicle crash 7 p.m. Saturday after patrol reports state Beans drove a van off the side of Nelson Mosier Road, crashing into a tree and then landing in a ditch.

Beans died at scene and the report states he was not wearing a seatbelt,

The road was closed between Allen Smith and Park Road for more than an hour as crews pulled the van out of the ditch. The report states there were no other passengers in the vehicle.
