Marco Island, FL : Naples woman dies following vehicle crash on Marco Island Monday morning, March 27, 2017

A Naples woman has died following a two-vehicle crash on Marco Island Monday morning. The crash occurred at 269 N Barfield Dr.

Authorities responded to the crash at 7:28 a.m., according to Marco Island Police. The vehicles involved were a Dodge van and a Volkswagen sedan.

The driver of the Dodge, Raul D. Gonzales, 44, of Marco Island, was transported to a Naples hospital via EMS.

The driver of the Volkswagen, Catherine M. Jacobs, 61, of Naples, was transported by EMS to a Naples hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
