Laurens County, SC : Gray Court man dies after 2-vehicle crash in Laurens County on Sunday, 7th October 2018

One man died after a motorcycle and pickup truck collided Sunday night in Laurens County.

Michael Tollison, 43, of Carriage Farms Road, Gray Court died at 7 p.m. Sunday at the scene of the wreck, Laurens County Chief Deputy Coroner Vickie Cheek said in an email.

The wreck happened at about 7 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 76 and James Elledge Road, about 6.25 miles north of Ware Shoals, according to the state Highway Patrol.

A 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle was heading east along U.S. 76 when the driver of a westbound 1997 Ford pickup truck attempted to turn left onto James Elledge Road, Lance Cpl. Gary Miller said. The vehicles struck in the intersection.

The motorcyclist, who was wearing a helmet, was ejected and died at the scene.
