1 Killed, 2 Injured In Crash Ater Speeding On Key Bridge

A Leesburg man died trapped in his car after speeding across Key Bridge from Georgetown and crashing near the Marriott Hotel in Rosslyn, police say.

Arlington Police spokesman Dustin Sternbeck said investigators have determined that the car, a 2008 BMW 5 Series, was traveling at between 80 to 90 mph at about 5 a.m. on Sunday, when it hit a curb and rolled over four or five times.

Sternbeck said the driver, identified as 21-year-old Sami Ullah, was trapped inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. One of the passengers was ejected and lost consciousness but regained it as he was being transported to George Washington Hospital.

The second passenger was able to extricate himself and was also taken to George Washington Hospital. Police say the passengers suffered significant injuries.

All three occupants of the BMW were from Leesburg and between 20 and 21 years of age.
