A woman was killed Monday morning after a vehicle struck her while she crossed a Des Moines street, according to authorities. Des Moines police said the crash happened on the city's south side. Margit Browman, 49, of Des Moines, was crossing an intersection shortly before 6 a.m. when she was hit by a car. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car, Bobby Mosely, 32, also of Des Moines, immediately circled back to the crash site after realizing he struck someone or something, according to police. Mosely was waiting for police when officers arrived. Authorities said Mosely had a green light at the time of the crash.
