Jamestown, N.D : Two injured in Mandan area crash on Sunday, April 9, 2017

Two drivers were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday in Morton County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Daniel Jurief, 29, Wishek, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox westbound on Interstate 94 at about 7:13 p.m. The Equinox crashed into a 2002 Hyundai Sonata driven by Chasity Johnson, 33, Zap, N.D., as the Sonata attempted to enter the left lane about 2 miles west of Mandan, the patrol said.

The Chevrolet entered the median and rolled, coming to rest on the driver's side. The Hyundai drove off the roadway on the north side.

Both drivers were injured, the patrol said. Jurief was transported by Metro Area Ambulance to Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, and Johnson was transported to CHI St. Alexius Health

The patrol is investigating the crash. The Morton County Sheriff's Department, Mandan Police Department and Mandan Rural Fire Department also responded to the scene.
