Box Elder, MT : Two people dead following a near head-on collision in southern Hill County on Saturday, Sep 19, 2015

An automobile wreck near Box Elder claimed two lives in the early morning hours Saturday, according to Montana Highway Patrol.

The near head-on collision, which was reported to MHP at 4:30 a.m., occurred on Lerado Road in southern Hill County. A Chevrolet Impala, traveling southbound, crossed the center line and hit an oncoming Pontiac sedan in the driver’s side door, MHP reported.

Two of the three occupants of the Pontiac, a 26-year-old and a 23-year-old, both from Box Elder, were pronounced dead at the scene. The third suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet also suffered injuries, MHP reported.
